SEEN BY: ABOUT TODAY, FRANCESCA CRIPPA AND ALESSANDRO MITOLA

Francesca Crippa, stylist, and Alessandro Mitola, photographer, give us their interpretation of CHAINS.

About Today” is a dreamlike and, at the same time, tactile work characterized by the wise use of natural light, that saw its starting point during the recent isolation days.

Francesca and Alessandro describe the project’s development as follows:

“During the lockdown, the flow of time has been marked by the light and its movements. The house was the center of everything, and it is exactly that sense of familiarity and warmth that we wanted to convey into the project, even if the daily life had already come back to its normal chaos when we realized the shots. Faces details alternate with materic ones, and, although all of them were already present before, we started to look at them from another perspective. The same bedsheets become a simple and functional set to make the leaves’ shadows play.
We would like that the aspects of intimacy and warmth would be the first ones to be noticed in our shots.”
