PArt – ANNA FRANCESCHINI AL WITTE DE WITH

Peruffo Jewelry è lieto di annunciare, PArt, nuovo progetto interdisciplinare volto al supporto e all’interazione con artisti contemporanei.

Prima artista selezionata è Anna Franceschini. Peruffo Jewelry ha avuto l’onore di sostenere la sua opera The Oracle of Delft (audiovisual performance, 2020), nuovo episodio di una performance ongoing al 2007 appositamente realizzato per il Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art di Rotterdam, in occasione della mostra “An exhibition with works by…” a cura di Bernardo José de Souza e Sofìa Hernàndez Chong Cuy.
Questa mostra collettiva esplora il tema dell’immigrazione di una forma estetica e i mutevoli sistemi di valori che incarnano gli ideali nazionali e le identità culturali. Si concentra sulla classica ceramica blu e bianca per scandagliare il modo in cui gli oggetti “cosmopoliti” si radicano in un progetto nazionale.
Questo tipo di ceramica viene definita Delft Blue nei Paesi Bassi, in altri paesi, questo tipo di ceramica generalmente viene denominata secondo la sua provenienza geopolitica come Talavera, Iznik, Azulejo, China o Quinghua.

Anna Franceschini (1979, Pavia, Italia) vive e lavora a Milano, Italia. È un’artista, regista e ricercatrice. I suoi film e video indagano oggetti, spazi e attività. La natura aliena di questi diventa evidente quando la fotocamera indugia su di essi in un tempo dilatato. Per Franceschini, l’immagine in movimento è in grado di condurre un’osservazione silenziosa e meditativa della realtà.
Il suo linguaggio cinematografico statico e ripetitivo comporta spesso un’assoluta assenza di esseri umani, che sottolinea la nostra relazione arbitraria e culturalmente filtrata con il mondo che ci circonda.

Fondato nel 1990, il Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art presenta un ricco programma di mostre d’arte, produzioni, iniziative ed eventi educativi, nonché pubblicazioni che vanno dai libri d’artista ai cataloghi alle piattaforme editoriali web-based.
